Fuchsia Plant in the Garden

Fuchsia
Planting Fuchsia in the right spot is important for a happy plant.  Fuchsia plants like mostly shade with a little sun.   Morning sun or late afternoon sun is preferred.  Try to avoid planting them in the sun in the hottest part of the day, they prefer shade during that time.

Plant your Fuchsia in soil with good drainage.  If your planting your Fuchsia plants in containers, be sure that the containers have enough drainage holes for good drainage.

Spider mites and white flies tend to be attracted to Fuchsia.  Spray with an organic, eco-friendly insecticide if needed.

Deadhead each bloom when they shrivel.

They attract hummingbirds.

You can also bring your Fuchsia inside for the winter before the first frost.  Replant outside the following spring.

I took this picture of Fuchsia in my garden.
